Massed Brass

massed brass final.jpg

Massed Brass is a new event set up to give amateur and student brass players an opportunity to perform solo pieces outside of the exam setting. Many of my students learn solo pieces without a chance to perform them to friends or family, I have set up this evening so that you can finally perform those hard worked pieces in public, not just to the examiner, teacher or cat.

The evening is designed to be a relaxed and safe place to play in public, meet some other players and play as a massed group. Since it’s near Christmas we will play carols and christmas songs as well as a few more serious pieces.

This event is aimed at players of around grade 4 and above with confident reading skills as the ensemble music will be sight read.

Itinerary

6pm – Group warm up session
6:30pm – Soloist Platform – a chance to play your piece through with a piano player & get some friendly feedback on your performance
